"I grew up in the Breakdown program and learned everything I know now form the coaches and people apart of the breakdown family. I still use the basic fundamentals that I was taught to this day. It is not only a place for you to go as a basketball player but as a young man." - Baraka Okojie

“The Breakdown program impacted my journey in such a life changing way that I thank God everyday for blessing me with the opportunity to be apart of such a wonderful Basketball family. From coming into the program a young boy who really loved the game of Basketball, but never had the opportunity or confidence in myself to play, the Breakdown program removed all the doubts in my mind and gave me the foundation I needed to take my career to the next level. From developing my Basketball skills on the court to developing my mind for the world as a young black man off the court, I can confidently say without Team Breakdown I don’t know where I would be in life without their guidance. The lifelong brotherhood with my teammates and a lifelong mentor in Coach Lloyd, being able to represent Team Breakdown now in the international Basketball stage is a honor I hold near and dear to my heart, now and forever. The Journey was not always easy at times, but with the countless lessons learned within the program it molded me into the man and Basketball player I am today.”

"Playing basketball has not only strengthened my body but also fortified my spirit. Being fortunate enough to play for Breakdown taught discipline, teamwork, and resilience in a way that I wouldn’t have considered to be impossible. Breakdown gave me an enormous opportunity to be myself and take pride in what I do and be passionate about this game on a cylinders . BD was the stepping stone to some of the rooms I’ve been in today and courts I’ve played on. Breakdown prepared me & taught me how to cultivate and be willing to be cultivated in the basketball world from the age of 14-17 and for that I couldn’t be more grateful. Thank you BDFamily!" -Alexis Daley

Team Breakdown took me and my brother in at a young age and treated us like family; through shaping us not only as athletes, but as individuals dedicated to teamwork and growth. The coaches at Team Breakdown are not only focused on short-term success, but also provided me with skills both on and off the court that will remain valuable well into the future. Breakdown is not just another program, it’s a brotherhood.
Ryan is currently playing for the University of Detroit Mercy, a division 1 NCAA (National Collegiate Athletic Association) school.
"Breakdown truly helped me in my devolvement as a basketball player and as a man. It gave me responsibility and taught me leadership. They were the first people to see something in me, that I didn’t see myself. If it wasn’t for them, I would not have started my basketball journey and be where I am today. Grateful for the opportunity and eternally grateful that Breakdown laid down the foundation for my career. Breakdown truly helped me in my devolvement as a basketball player and as a man. "It’s a blessing to see the success the organization is having, after being apart of it from the very start. The Team Breakdown organization was pivotal in my development and growth as a basketball player. I was taught the importance of selflessness, camaraderie, and patience from a young age, which essentially helped me stay balanced and poised at the university level. During my time with Team Breakdown I was surrounded by coaches, teammates and parents who were making sacrifices daily and that gave me a lot of perspective as I went on to play university basketball" - Ukasha Khan
